Delete Your SnapShop Account or Data
Effective: April 19, 2026
1. Overview
You have two ways to remove data from SnapShop. You can delete your entire SnapShop account, or you can delete certain categories of data from within the app without deleting your account. Both options are self-serve in the SnapShop mobile app. This page explains each option, what gets deleted, and what is retained for legal or accounting reasons.
2. Delete Your Account (In the App)
Open the SnapShop app, tap the Account tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Delete Account." Follow the on-screen instructions, type DELETE to confirm, and accept the final destructive prompt. Deletion is performed from that screen — no email request is required. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
3. What Gets Deleted With Your Account
Your SnapShop profile (name, email, phone, preferences); saved addresses; scan history and any uploaded scan images; your active cart; and all active sign-in sessions on all devices.
4. Delete Certain Data Without Deleting Your Account
You do not have to delete your entire account to remove data from SnapShop. You can delete specific categories directly from within the SnapShop mobile app while keeping your account active. The next section lists each category that SnapShop currently supports for individual deletion and the exact path in the app. Any category not listed there is either retained for legal or accounting reasons (see "What We Retain and Why" below) or can only be removed by deleting your full account.
5. What Data You Can Delete Individually
Saved addresses — open the app, tap the Account tab, then Addresses, and tap the red trash icon on any saved address to delete it. You can also delete an address from the Edit Address screen. Individual cart items — open the app, tap the Cart tab, and tap the red trash icon next to any line item to remove that item from your cart. Your entire cart — open the app, tap the Cart tab, tap "Clear Cart," and confirm in the destructive prompt; all items are removed from your cart (a short in-app undo is available immediately after clearing).
6. What We Retain and Why
Past orders, receipts, and payment records are retained in de-identified form. This information is kept only as required for tax, accounting, refund, chargeback, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance obligations. Operational logs with no personal information may also be retained for security purposes. Retention is limited to what is necessary for these purposes.
7. Active Orders
If you have an order currently in progress — for example, an order that is paid but not yet delivered, canceled, or fully refunded — account deletion will be temporarily blocked until that order reaches a completed, canceled, delivered, refunded, or failed state. The app will explain this when you try to delete your account. Once the order is resolved, you can return to the Delete Account screen and complete deletion.
8. How Long It Takes
In-app deletions — whether the full account or individual categories — take effect immediately on our live systems as soon as you confirm. Some information may persist temporarily in routine system backups and will roll off on our standard backup schedule.
9. Help / Fallback
If you are unable to access the SnapShop app (for example, you no longer have the app installed and cannot sign in), email support@snapshopapp.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete Account," and we will assist. The in-app flow is the primary, self-serve deletion path — email contact is a fallback for users who cannot reach the in-app screen.
