1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how SnapShop collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our consumer app, websites, and related services.

2. Information We Collect

(A) Information you provide: account info (name/email), User Content (photos/images, voice inputs and transcripts, text queries, barcode scans), support communications. (B) Information collected automatically: device/usage data (IP, device type, OS/app version, logs, diagnostics, crash reports, interaction events), cookie/session data where applicable. (C) Transaction, order, and delivery info: items/quantities/status/timestamps; delivery name/phone/address/notes/status; payment-related info (high level) — we do not store raw card numbers and may receive/store transaction metadata (status, processor IDs, amounts, fees, refund/dispute status). (D) Information from partners: retailers (availability, substitutions, fulfillment outcomes), couriers (delivery status events), payment processors (payment confirmation, dispute/refund status).

3. Camera, Microphone, and Permissions

If you use photo/barcode features, we access your camera or photo library to capture and upload images for item identification. If you use voice features, we access your microphone to capture voice input and process it into a query. You can control permissions in your device settings. We use these inputs to provide the Service and improve reliability and safety.

4. How We Use Information

To operate the Service (identify products, show results, support checkout and order updates); coordinate fulfillment and delivery; provide support; prevent fraud and enforce terms; monitor performance/debug; improve matching quality and user experience; comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

5. How We Share Information

With service providers (hosting, storage, analytics/monitoring, communications, image/AI processing); payment processors; retailers/commerce partners; couriers (including Uber Direct) for delivery; and for legal/safety reasons. We do not sell personal information.

6. U.S. State and California Privacy Rights

Users may have rights to access, delete, correct, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions. Requests: email privacy@snapshopapp.com with subject "Privacy Request" from the email associated with your account. Verification may be required. Timelines: confirm receipt within 10 business days; respond within 45 days subject to extensions where permitted. Do Not Sell or Share: SnapShop does not sell or share personal information as defined under California law. No discrimination for exercising rights.

7. Data Retention

Typical retention: account info while active; after deletion, limited records for compliance/security. Order and payment metadata retained up to 7 years for accounting, tax, dispute, and fraud prevention. Device/log data retained up to 24 months for security, diagnostics, and reliability. Backups retain data for a limited period before overwrite.

8. Children's Privacy

Not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards; no system is completely secure.
